Friends of Sitka Animal Shelter was formed in Fall of 2021 by a group of volunteers who care deeply for the animals of our community.
Mission
Friends of Sitka Animal Shelter (FOSAS) is dedicated to providing quality care to animals in need while offering resources, services, and education to community members. FOSAS aims to improve the lives and well-being of animals that live at the Sitka Animal Shelter while they await their forever homes as well as provide community engagement, outreach, and education to the pet owners of Sitka and surrounding communities. FOSAS is 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. All donations made to the organization are tax-deductible.
